The "Texas Power Grid" plugin shows a collection of ERCOT information including wind and solar generation, system-wide prices, energy storage resource output, ancillary services, and a real-time price map of Texas. The display shown on the TRMNL device can be chosen via the dropdown below. This plugin is not affiliated with ERCOT Inc. and uses publicly available data.

This plugin displays charts and metrics for the ERCOT interconnection, the power grid serving most of Texas.

(Update: 10/24/2026) Wind and Solar forecasts now reach up to seven days ahead (Forecast days option), and the Supply and Demand six-day view adds net load. Curtailment, the wind and solar output ERCOT held back, is now shown on the Wind and Solar chart and on the LMP Map's Wind, Solar and Net Load sparklines.

Use the Display option to choose from the following views:

• Rotate Displays (default): Shows each of the displays below in turn, moving to the next one each time the plugin refreshes.

• LMP Map: ERCOT's real-time locational marginal price (LMP) map of Texas, with prices grouped into gray bands and a legend. Optional cards show load, wind, solar, net load, storage and system lambda with sparklines and 30-day box plots, and county lines can be drawn over the map.

• Supply and Demand: ERCOT's load, available capacity and net load for today, actual and forecast, or the six-day forecast of load, capacity and net load.

• Wind and Solar: Actual wind and solar generation for today (and optionally yesterday), plus forecasts from the current hour up to seven days ahead, set by the Forecast days option. Series can be stacked or overlaid.

• System-Wide Prices: Individual plots of hub and load zone prices, comparing today's real-time price with the day-ahead price. An all-prices view summarizes every hub and load zone in a single display.

• Energy Storage: Fleet-wide behavior of Energy Storage Resources (ESRs). Optional toggles add a "net energy" line showing cumulative ESR energy as a proxy for state of charge, and a box plot overlay comparing current behavior to the previous 30 days.

• Ancillary Services: Regulation services over the past two hours.
