Connection

Wind Master was made to keep an eye on the wind at the lake. Forecasts come from Open-Meteo, a free weather service, so there's nothing to sign up for.

Wind Master puts the wind where you'll actually see it. Large numbers show the current wind speed and gusts, with a plain-English description from the Beaufort scale, from "Calm" to "Gale". A compass needle and a heading like "SSE, from 164°" tell you which way it's blowing, and the title bar shows when the reading was taken.

Below that, a chart of the next 8, 12 or 24 hours shows whether the wind is building or dying down. A dashed line tracks the gusts. You can add gust numbers, or small arrows showing which way the wind turns each hour.

Search for your town or address, pick mph, km/h, m/s or knots, and give the location a name. Forecasts come from Open-Meteo, a free weather service, so there's no account or API key to set up.

Handy for sailing, kiteboarding, paddling, fishing, flying drones, or deciding whether today is a good day to rake leaves. Full, half and quarter-screen layouts fit into mashups, and it stays crisp on both the TRMNL OG and TRMNL X, in light or dark mode.
